HR and Employment Law Forum – 17 January 2019
New Dawn Resources are pleased to have partnered with Huddersfield based recruitment agency, Stafflex for our upcoming HR and Employment Law Forum.
Held at New Dawn Resources’ Holmfirth office at 8.30 am on Thursday 17 January, we will be sharing with you our knowledge and expertise, covering all aspects of the staff cycle – from recruitment to dismissal, temporary workers, permanent and long term employees.
Our in-house employment law and HR expert, Kate Booth along with Maggie Netherwood, Deputy MD at Stafflex will chair the group discussion, which is free to attend. Members of the forum will be given the opportunity to request discussion topics in advance, or put forward a case study from their own workplace to discuss with the group.
Topics we will cover include
- Mental health and the issues it is causing to employers
- How to identify and deal with mental health proactively in the workplace
- How to manage absences related to mental health
- Brief update on key employment law issues
About the hosts
Kate Booth, New Dawn Resources
Kate is a qualified solicitor with over 10 years of specialist experience practicing in employment law. She is no longer practicing as a solicitor and joined the New Dawn team as our in-house legal expert.
Kate has a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer and can advise businesses on all matters relating to HR and employment, including assisting in defending your business against an Employment Tribunal claim.
Maggie Netherwood, Stafflex
Maggie is Deputy Managing Director at Stafflex and is responsible for sales performance and strategy across the business including office, industrial and education sectors.
Maggie has significant experience in dealing with staff matters, including recruitment, coaching and motivating staff to achieve their best performance.
